Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into effect on May 25th, 2018, we’d like to share how we process any personal information we collect about you. We collect and process various personal data about you for the purposes of providing personal and business coaching, training, consultancy or therapy guidance to you – and to enable us to fulfil the administrative obligations required of us. “Processing” can be defined as obtaining, recording or holding information or data. “Personal data” is information which can identify you as a living individual, including where used in conjunction with other information. Common examples of personal data which may be collected and used by us in our day to day business activities include: name, date of birth, gender, marital status, job title, address, telephone number and other contact details (including email addresses). In the course of our work together, you may also provide us with information regarding your health, wealth and personal history.

You have freedom of choice when it comes to your decision to provide us with your personal data and you have the right to request that we stop processing your personal data at any time, you may choose not to provide sensitive personal data to us at all. You should however note that if you exercise this right or subsequently request that we stop processing all or part of your personal data and/or sensitive personal data, this could impact upon our ability to provide you with certain types of service.

How will my personal data be collected and used?

We collect personal data from you to the extent necessary to provide personal and business coaching, training, consultancy, therapy guidance and (subject to the provisions below), related marketing activities.

This list is not exhaustive and may be updated from time to time as business needs and legal requirements dictate. Some of the personal data that we maintain may be kept in paper files, while other personal data will be included in computerised files and electronic databases, with the appropriate security in place.

Who might my personal data be shared with?

Where required and to enable us to provide an efficient service to you, we may also make some data available to third parties providing relevant services to us, including administrative, cloud storage and other support services. These third parties include Basecamp LLC, 123 Reg Ltd, Dropbox International Unlimited Company, WordPress, Viva-Assist and various consultants including: Lynda Mangoro and Simon Yates.

Certain personal data will also be reported to government authorities where required by law and for tax or other purposes. Personal data may also be released to external parties as required by legislation, or by legal process.

We will not sell your personal data to any third party.

Marketing

We may wish to provide you with information about new products, services, promotions and other information in which we think you may be interested. We may send you such information by post or email, unless you have registered with the appropriate Preference Service (we would be grateful if you could let us know if this is the case).

We would also like to provide you with information by e-mail. However, we appreciate that e-mail “spam” has become a problem in recent years. If you are a client or you have previously asked us for information on our services, we may contact you regarding your purchase or other matters regarding transactions between us, or your customer relationship with us, or send you information on our services by e-mail, unless you have asked us not to do so. We may also use your e-mail address to send you information about our services that we think may be of interest to you by way of informational e-mails, unless you have asked us not to do so. We will only send you emails if you have ‘opted in’ for our products and services – and we are anti-spam.

Your right to review, amend or erase your personal data

You have the right to review your personal data and sensitive personal data held by us and to have any inaccurate information about you corrected. Additionally, you may request that the data we hold on you be erased, however, should you make this request, we may be unable to continue to provide you with our services.

You have the right to ask for a copy of all the data we hold on you – and this will be provided within one month of your written request, at no charge to you, in an electronic format. Our Payment Service Provider…
We take your security very seriously. Olivia Stefanino and Be Your Own Guru do not keep records of its customers credit cards. We use PayPal to process your order. At the point of entering your credit or debit card details, you’ll automatically be sent to a PayPal secure server. They process your payment for us and send us the results of your transaction.

Users contacting this website and/or its owners do so at their own discretion and provide any personal details requested at their own risk. Personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in the Data Protection Act 2018. This website operates an email newsletter program, used to inform subscribers about products and services supplied by this website. Users can subscribe through an online automated process should they wish to do so, at  their own discretion. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement with the user. Subscriptions are taken in compliance with UK Spam Laws detailed in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company that operates this website. Under the Data Protection Act 2018 you may request a copy of personal information held about you by this website’s email newsletter program. A small fee of £15 will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to the business address at the bottom of this policy.
